Bucket Filling Practices
Based on the book, Have You Filled a Bucket Today?: A Guide to Daily Happiness for Kids, by Carol McCloud.
Each of us has an invisible bucket. It is constantly filled or emptied, depending on what we say or do to others and what others say or do to us. When our bucket is full, we feel great. When it is empty, we feel awful. Bucket filling leads to positive feelings and promotes our sense of self-worth. Bucket dipping leads to negative emotions and diminishes our sense of self. Each person has the power to put a lid on their invisible bucket to prevent dipping. Corey Spirit aligns with promoting being a “Bucket-Filler.”
